Adults

St. Cecilia Adult Faith Formation Opportunities

To teach as Jesus did means calling and equipping all Christians of every age and stage of life to fulfill their Baptismal call to holiness in family, Church, and society…Ongoing faith formation is essential to accomplish this mission…

From the Pastoral Plan for Adult Faith Formation in the United States, by the U.S. Catholic Bishop’s “Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us.”

St. Cecilia will host all Adult Religious Education meetings in the Parish Center, room 101.

RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) classes for those adults who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, or for those adults who have not completed their Sacrament preparation, or adults interested in joining the Catholic Faith Community are held on Wednesday evenings from 7:008:00 p.m.

bullet

Are you someone who is interested in joining the Catholic Church?  The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, or RCIA, makes this possible.

bullet

Are you someone who was baptized as a Catholic, but never received the Sacraments of First Communion and/or Confirmation?

bullet

Are you someone who has a family member or a friend who is Catholic and are you interested in becoming a Catholic yourself?

bullet

Are you someone that was baptized in a non-Catholic Christian faith and are now interested in converting to the Catholic Faith?

bullet

Are you someone who has never been baptized in any Christian faith and now you would like to be a full member of the Catholic Church?

If you are an adult and have answered "yes" to any one of these questions, the the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is for you.  RCIA is a faith journey in which you deepen you relationship with God and make friendships with other candidates and team members with Bible study, faith sharing, and learning the teachings of the Catholic Church.  Adults are then fully initiated into the Catholic Church with the Sacrament of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil.
